German external hammer shotgun made by Rudolph Berger, Coethen, Germany. Maker marked browned Damascus twist steel 30" barrels with concave smooth rib, extractors, and "dragon's tail" crooked top opening lever. Lightly covered case hardened floral engraved action and hammers with carved horn trigger guard and double triggers. Figured checkered walnut round knob pistol grip stock with exaggerated cheekpiece, engraved steel furniture, heel-to-toe buttplate, and matching plain walnut forearm with latch release takedown. CONDITION: Barrels have been cleaned, exposing very nice Damascus pattern, and rebrowned. Action has been cleaned to a silvery finish. Wood has been cleaned and hand rubbed to a pleasing shine. Good bores with excellent mechanics. DLM
