Standard issue 42" .69 smoothbore National Armory Bright barrel marked with "P / (Eagle Head) / V" proofs in addition to "1834" tang date. Flint lock marked vertically "HARPERS / FERRY / 1836" with federal eagle motif over "US" ahead of cock. Classic full length walnut stock with Charleville styled nose cap, 2 spring retained bands, and a "US" marked butt plate. CONDITION: Very good as cleaned. Metal is polished bright with some markings faint. Stock has been cleaned and some finish added. Good bore and mechanics remaining in its original flint configuration. BAS
