DST. A scarce c. 1940's tin motor oil rack sign from Shell advertising Golden Shell Motor Oil as well as Shell X-100 Heavy Duty Motor Oils. CONDITION: The Golden Shell side shows outstanding color & gloss throughout with an ultra clean inner field. Golden Shell side shows a minor rub mark at the lower right with two added mounting holes at the topside, Grade 8.75. The X-100 side shows fair color throughout with areas of low gloss and paper staining in the entire field. X-100 side shows a clean Shell graphic and although worn displays nicely, Grade 7.0. A scarce piece of Shell advertising that displays nicely.
