SSP. Sign is maker-marked Balto Enamel. An outstanding example of this c. 1920's No Spitting porcelain railway platform sign. CONDITION: Sign shows exceptional color & gloss throughout the field showing deep cobalt blue with excellent script. Sign shows heavy shelving between the colors with only a faint amount of light surface scratch. Sign shows all six original grommets with a clean outer edge showing one area of chipping at the bottom center edge. Sign shows an excellent sloppy porcelain backside with exceptional display power.
