Walther Model 7 in 6.35mm semi-automatic pistol marked "Selbstlade Pistole Cal 6.35 Walther's Patent." with the serial number "52950" on the frame and "950" on the slide assembly. Magazine is unmarked. Original grips were removed and clear plexiglass "sweetheart" grips were added, which was likely done by a US GI in early postwar Germany. Under the left side grip panel is a photo (appears to be cut from a news magazine, etc) of what appear to be SS Oberst-Gruppenfuehrer Kurt Daluege, who was the chief of the Third Reich's national uniformed "Ordnungspolizei". Daluege served as Deputy Protector for the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and was executed in 1946 for war crimes. Under the right side grip panel is a photo (news magazine clipping?) of Hitler and also 2 swastikas and an Iron Cross. Included is a hand-made brown leather shoulder holster with US WWII OD and tan webbing used for shoulder straps. CONDITION: Pistol retains 45-50% of its original blued finish with patina and very light freckling. Good bright bore with functional magazine. Safety does not function properly. WEZ
