24'' L. Circa 1922. Enclosed front cab, full running boards and rear fenders, open service body with tailgate, spoke wheels, scrolled edge floor board decal, ''International Speed Truck'' decals on body. This black version of the Red Baby service truck is incredibly rare. The early Buddy L truck cab design was based on the real International S-Series or Speed trucks of the day. Before toy production began in 1921, Moline Pressed Steel Co. manufactured fenders and parts for the International Speed Trucks. This may be a presentation piece specially made by Buddy L for International. Wear and paint loss to horizontal surfaces.
