Mid-production Type 26 double action revolver manufactured at the Koishikawa. Right side of frame bears the Koishikawa arsenal insignia above characters denoting the model designation, and the serial number. Metal components are blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, trigger, and trigger guard. Revolver is accompanied by a period brown leather clamshell holster containing its cleaning rod. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting pitting and oxidation overall, with deeper pitting present at the muzzle. Bore is bright and retains strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered handling marks, but are otherwise fine. Leather holster is malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, with a hole at the toe on the rear panel. Cleaning rod exhibits oxidation overall.
