DSP. A very unusual and perhaps one of a kind Porcelain Neon Sign for Mohawk Gasoline. Sign shows unusual maroon and white porcelain colors with neon throughout the lettering as well as added neon along the outer border. Sign was most likely commissioned by a single station and is most likely the only example. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color and gloss throughout the field with clean lettering showing only minimal wear. Side one shows some light staining in the white porcelain as well as very light nicks at the neon stanchion holes of the "A" and "E" of Gasoline. Overall side one displays very well showing bright green and red neon, Grade 8.75. Side two also shows very good color & gloss throughout the field showing just a few minor areas of light chipping near the "W" of Mohawk as well as some minimal staining in the white porcelain. Side two also shows bright green & red neon and overall displays very well, Grade 8.75. Each side shows a cookie cutter framed edge and his mounted on a newly made metal can which display each sign well. The metal can shows two strokes of yellow neon around the outer border which displays on the sign well and the can shows an iron arm out of the side for flange mounting. A very unique piece of Porcelain Signage from Mohawk Gasoline.
