Lot consists of 4 items (A) Jan. 1806 War Department letter to Tench Cox authorizing for contract for 100 rifles signed by Henry Dearborn. Partial red seal and free frank by Dearborn also. CONDITION: Very good. (B) April 1819 Pay and subsistence return of Lt. Gustavus Drane, Regt of Light Artillery. From Maryland, rose from private (1812) to captain (1832.) CONDITION: Very good. (C) Jan. 1800 8 page printed “Letter from the Secretary of War Accompanying a Report Exhibiting the Expenses of the National Armory at Springfield, Massachusetts", published by the House of Representatives. CONDITION: Poor to Fair. Edge losses, small tears, stains. (D) Large pay receipt roll of Capt. McDonnelly’s company of Light Artillery for May and June 1820. Full list of names and ranks with some remarks in right hand column. CONDITION: Very good. Minor stains on reverse.
