Lot consists of 10 items. (A) June 1776 pay order or receipt for a horse, cart and boy “to carry Capt. Dodge and companie packs to Boston” May 23, 1775. CONDITION: Excellent. (B) War Office, May 1779, Boston, order for delivery of breeches for Genl. Bradford’s regiment: leather for field officers and others for captains, staff and subalterns. Regiment is the 14th Massachusetts. CONDITION: Very good, stain upper right. (C) Jan 1780 Massachusetts bond raising funds for “this state’s quota of the Continental Army...” CONDITION: Excellent. (D) Return of Capt. Silas Wild’s company in Col. Edmund Phinney’s Regiment January 5th, 1776, in ord. to draw cartridge boxes & Ammunition &tc. List of 31 men listing whether they have cartridge boxes, how many rounds are wanting, etc. Some are lacking a gun. Phinney commanded the 12th Mass and 18th Continental. Date is Siege of Boston. CONDITION: Excellent. (E) Descriptive list of men raised in the county of Suffolk. June 9, 1779, list of 11 men. Physical descriptions, regiments and companies to which they are assigned. CONDITION: Excellent. (F) Pay abstract of Capt. John Jacobs company in Col. Bailey’s regiment. June 1776. Number of men at each rank with pay totals. CONDITIOIN: Excellent. (G) A Return of the continental men in and for Capt. Everett Comp. Dedham to Col. McIntosh. 1777 date lower right, terms apparently to expire in 1780. 15 men with company and regimental assignments. CONDITION: Good. Separation on fold. Tape repairs reverse. (H) A List of the Lt. Horse Comp. 21 officers and men. Wm. Remsen, Capt., at top. Nov. 14, 1777. CONDITION: Very good. Folds, edge losses. (I) List of men discharged in Col. Silliman’s regiment. Covers Nov and Dec 1776. Silliman commanded the Connecticut State Regiment. (J) Dorchester, Mass., April 1777 signed voucher by 49 men of Lemuel Clap’s company that they have received all pay due them from enlistment to discharge. Clap answered the Lexington alarm, Captain in Col. Gill’s regiment at Dorchester Heights.
