Lot consists of: (A) Return from Providence Aug 10, 1782 for "3 boxes Fire Arms w/ Bayonets" from Major Joseph William Russell. (B) March 29, 1781 invoice from Richard Fronthingham to Phillip Van Ransalaer Esq. written in New Windsor. Mentions a repair of "Arms to be repaired with bayonets fixed". This order is to repair arms for Fort Schuyler, and to make a pair of pistols. (C) Large and detailed return of stores received, delivered, and remaining on hand in the magazine stores at West Point...December 1782. (D) July 23, 1777, request from Maj. Gen. W. Heath to Ebenezer Hancock Esq., Deputy Paymaster General to the "Forces of the United States of America" warrant in favor of, and to pay wages owed to Lieutenant Colonel David Mason. Written from his headquarters in Boston. (E) August 17, 1778 letter from a Jim Pickering off the War Office regarding the issuance of shirts and shoes for Virginia troops. (F) Sept 26, 1777 order directing the delivery of "twenty five pounds weight of cannon powder to provd' the field pieces at Pomfort" to Capt. Daniel Tyler. (G) Sept 27, 1777 receipt for the delivery of powder for cannons. (H) Period copy of a June 10, 1777 congressional resolution directing the supply and leadership of the Continental Army. CONDITION: Overall documents are fine or better with commensurate age toning. (H) is in multiple pieces needing restoration. BRM.
