Lot consists of 11 documents, several signed by Henry Daggett, Quartermaster of the 7th Connecticut. Receipts from Daggett for (A) damaged gun, (B) damaged gun and bayonet, (C) damaged cartouche box, (D) 2 company tents and 1 Bell tent, (E) damaged bayonet belt and 2 scabbards, (F) damaged musket (G) receipt to Daggett for 11 guns, bayonets, and bayonet scabbards, along with one of each also. (H) Receipt to Daggett for money for stores. (I) As above. (J) Hartford Feb. 1778 receipt to Jeremiah Wadsworth for a “new bridle for the uses of the army” signed by Lt. Col. Wm. Livingston. Wadsworth was Deputy Commissary General and Commissary General of Purchases, 1777 to 1780. Livingston is likely William Smith Livingston, Major New York militia, ADC to Greene, and Lt. Col. Webb’s Additional Regiment Jan 1777 to Oct 1778. (K) Camp Peekskill Oct. 15, 1781, clothing receipt to Jabez Clark by Thomas Sherman for shoes, shirts, hose, frocks, and “linen overhauls,” “for the use of the 4th Connt. Regt.,” likely the 4th Connecticut formed January 1781 from the 6th CT, served to January 1783 under Zebulon Butler. CONDITION: All very good.
