DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Wolverine Porcelain, Detroit. One of the finer examples of this C. 1930's Porcelain Service Station Sign from Powerlube Motor Oils we have ever sold, showcasing an excellent glossy Tiger graphic with unique script. CONDITION: Side one is outstanding throughout showing brilliant color and gloss with no areas of field chipping. The graphic as well as script are exceptionally clean showing only minor areas of fine scratch. Side one shows some minor chipping at one of the top mounting holes as well as some minimal discoloration at the top right edge, Grade 8.9+. Side two, like the majority of these signs shows areas of scattered discoloration throughout the blue but still displays an excellent graphic with only moderate scratches. Side two shows overall hazing throughout with one minor chip in the upper field as well as some minor edge wear, Grade 8.0. An excellent displaying example of this iconic piece of Service Station advertising.
