DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Reliance Advertising Co., Milwaukee. Incredibly scarce and highly sought after C. 1920's Porcelain Service Station Sign for Conoco Motor Oils showing iconic Minuteman graphic with unique Conoco script and colors. Sign also shows "Extra Life For Your Car" slogan across the field. CONDITION: Side one shows brilliant color & gloss throughout the field showing excellent condition script with four small chips in the Minuteman graphic as well as some light field surface scratching. Graphic shows some minor areas of scratching but overall displays excellent. The outer field shows one chip at the upper right as well as some minimal nicks along the outer edge, overall excellent, Grade 8.5+. Side two also displays outstanding color & gloss throughout showing three small chips in the Minuteman graphic as well as some minor surface scratching and spider webbing in the yellow. Side two shows excellent condition script with one chip at the upper left as well as some light nicks along the outer edge, Grade 8.5+. Sign shows its original mounting hole grommet at the top center and overall displays very well. A very scarce piece of Motor Oil advertising from Conoco with outstanding display power.
