DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Buss, Des Moines, Iowa. An excellent displaying piece of Porcelain & Neon Signage for Mercury Automobiles showing outstanding Mercury lettering with two Bullnose attachments as well as Porcelain Mercury head at the topside. CONDITION: Sign is in overall outstanding condition showing excellent color & gloss throughout the field of each side showing some minor areas of light rain discoloration in the gloss as well as some minimal dullness in the white porcelain that is not very noticeable when illuminated. Signs both show very clean fields with only minimal edge nicks and both Bullnose attachments are also in excellent condition showing just minimal edge nicks. Sign shows a two piece Porcelain Mercury Head attachment at the topside that shows excellent color & gloss throughout with very minimal wear. Each side shows one very small touch up in the outer field as well as some minor age discoloration in the white but overall excellent. Sign is mounted to what appears to be the original can which shows excellent black paint and is in ready to hang condition. A beautiful piece of seldom seen Porcelain Signage from Mercury Automobiles.
