Manufactured from 1866 to 1871 by the Providence Tool Company for state militia and foreign sales. This carbine is fit with a 20" rust blued barrel chambered in .50 rimfire with blade front sight and flip up v-notch rear. Case hardened breech loading action very similar to the Martini with standard manufacturer stamping on the left side. Plain walnut butt stock with boxed "WC" cartouche, case hardened butt plate and saddle ring. Matching walnut carbine forend affixed to the barrel by a single case hardened band. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrel retains significant amounts of blue drifting to plum. Receiver likewise displays the vast majority of strong original case colors with some light wear. Other case hardened components have toning. Stock has a few minor marks, retaining bountiful amounts of oil finish and a razor sharp cartouche. Excellent mirror bore displaying sharp rifling.
