Circa 1850s-1860s. 6 - 7/8" spearpoint blade marked on its upper face "G. WOSTENHOLM & SON, WASHINGTON WORKS, SHEFFIELD", with "I*XL" trademark stamped on ricasso. Crown stag handle with nickel silver pommel plate, oval nickel silver guard. 11" overall length. No sheath. CONDITION: The blade with moderate sharpening and scattered spotting, the handle a likely replacement. Formerly part of the Tommie Jones collection.
