Standard configuration P.38 manufactured at the Spreewerke Grottau arsenal during World War II. The left side of the slide is stamped "P.38" followed by Spreewerke's "cyq" code and the serial number. Right side of slide bears an "88" and an "(Eagle) / 58" waffenamt on either side of an eagle firing proof, with additional "(Eagle) / 58" waffenamts present overall. Metal components are blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-pieced grooved pressed resin grips. Pistol is accompanied by a handmade brown leather holster. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting some minor spots of wear as well as some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some old cosmoline and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some minor superficial marks overall, but are otherwise fine. Holster exhibits age related wear and some scattered handling marks, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. MLW
