Mannlicher Schoenauer Model M72 Model S Magnum bolt action rifle made by Steyr in Austria in 1977 with less than 10 known to exist in the United States. 26" blued hammer forged barrel with integral ramp front sight, pedestal rear notch sight, in 9.3x64 caliber and marked "STEYR SEACAUCUS, N.J.". Blued rotary magazine action with flat knobbed swept bolt, double set triggers, and pivot style safety, fitted with Steyr rings and bases. Walnut checkered Monte Carlo stock with cheekpiece, contrasting rosewood grip cap and forend, 2 bolt recoil lug system, and Decelerator solid rubber recoil pad. Hard gun to find in the United States. CONDITION: 90% blue with light carry wear. Wood has been cleaned lightly with small handling and hunting marks. Pad is a likely replacement. Excellent bore and mechanics. Hard to find. DLM
