German Schuetzen style Mauser 71 bolt action single cartridge rifle. Blued octagonal barrel is marked "30 30" and has the standard German 11mm middle sight mounting rib. No import marks. Standard German set triggers. Original blade front sight has been replaced by a Lyman type diopter sight. Receiver, bolt top, and trigger guard have engravings. Original tang mounted diopter sight is missing, and was replaced by a nonfunctional US diopter sight. Walnut stock has a checkered grip, and 2 sling swivels are mounted (1 on barrel and the other on butt stock). Butt plate is missing. CONDITION: Rifle is overall very good and retains 80-85% bluing on the barrel and less than 40% on the receiver. Other metal components have patina. Rear target sight does not function properly. Stock has light scattered marks and pressure dings. Butt plate is missing. Bore is bright, and set triggers do not function properly. WEZ
