Manufactured circa 1919. As per an included factory letter "revolver was an unfinished prototype revolver in-the-white, kept by the Colt factory". Shipped in 2008 with blued barrel and cylinder, unfinished frame and checkered hard rubber grips. Revolver remains as shipped with a 6" taped blued round barrel bearing standard markings and fit with half moon front sight. Blued 6-shot fluted cylinder. Frame is in the white and is not marked with the rampant Colt trademark. Fit with a pair of standard checkered "COLT" hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Very good overall. Barrel and cylinder retain the vast majority of their factory applied blue with some light wear and a turn line. Frame is untouched with a bright surface showing some light scratches and very minor surface oxidation. Fine mechanics. Excellent bore, possibly unfired. BAS
