Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Mauser in 1943. The left side of the slide is stamped "P.38" followed by "byf / 43" and the serial number, with an "(Eagle) / 135" waffenamt stamped on either side of an eagle firing proof on the right side. Metal components are blued, and the frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved pressed resin grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and locking block. Barrel does not match. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that show through to gray and brown patina, as well as some scattered spots of active and inactive oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting some frosting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit few minor nicks and marks from storage and handling overall. MLW
