Frommer Stop semi-automatic pistol manufactured by FEG of Budapest. Left side of frame bears stampings stipulating the manufacturer, model, patent, as well as the caliber designation, with a boxed "Sr." stamp present on the left trigger guard web. Major metal components are blued, while some smaller components are in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece custom smooth wood grips. Pistol is accompanied by period brown leather holster. Holster bears a faux "SS" stamp on the body beneath the flap and is exhibits a handwritten ".568. Leo/ Madsen/ AFD.5.", beside an indiscernible manufacturers stamp. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to gray and brown patinas, with some scatter spots of surface oxidation. Bore exhibits moderate oxidation and strong rifling throughout. Custom grips are very good, with few minor handling marks. Leather holster exhibits age related cracking and areas of crazing overall, with losses to the stitching on the magazine pouch. Closure flap's strap is a contemporary replacement.
