Manufactured in 1940 in target configuration. Standard heavy weight 28" blued target barrel chambered in .22 LR and factory drilled for scope blocks although none are mounted. Mounted with a 99-A aperture front sight with extra inserts, and an 84 extended rear peep sight. Stocked in American walnut with an adjustable blued sling swivel mount and checkered steel butt plate. Complete with a "WINCHESTER" trademark stamped 5-round magazine, correct style leather sling, and a wooden Badger Handybox for cartridges carved with a name and "1944" date. CONDITION: Near excellent. Nearly all of the factory applied blued finish is retained with a few freckles. Stock is very good with a few scratches and impressions. Very good strong bore. Mechanically fine. Sling is supple and sturdy with some verdigris around brass mounts. BAS
