Lot consists of: (A) Unmarked Civil War yataghan blade bayonet with cast brass hilt with inspector markings, crossguard with muzzle ring, ribbed grip with bird's head pommel and functioning locking spring. Complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts. CONDITION: Blade remains bright with scattered light blemishes. Hilt exhibits a pleasant patina. Scabbard body remains firm with scattered light blemishes and small cracks. Mounts exhibits a nice patina with all pins in place. (B) US Model 1870 Rolling Block Navy Rifle Bayonet. The bayonet was manufactured by Ames and is marked "AMES MFG. CO. / CHICOPEE, / MASS" and "U.S.N. / G.G.S. / 1870" on the blade. Cast brass hilt with simulated scales and inspector markings, crossguard with muzzle ring, and pommel with bird head marked with the insignia of the Navy Board of Ordnance, 2 crossed cannons superimposed on an anchor. Complete with leather scabbard that features brass mounts. CONDITION: Blade remains bright with scattered light blemishes and pitting. Hilt exhibits a pleasant patina. Scabbard body remains firm with scattered light blemishes and small cracks. Mounts exhibits a nice patina with all pins in place. (C) Ames Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword in standard M1832 configuration with blade marked "N.P. AMES / CABOTVILLE" on the obverse and "US / 1845 / NWP" on the reverse. Crossguard exhibits inspector marks on both sides. CONDITION: Blade exhibits a gray patina with scattered blemishes. Hilt exhibits a pleasant patina with handling wear.
