Lot consists of: (A) Circa early 20th century English sword cane with a fine Toledo blade that measures approximately 27 - 1/2". The triangular blade is marked "TOLEDO" on the ricasso and is beautifully decorated with etched and fire blued panels which also exhibit areas of gold wash. The decorations travel for about half the length of the blade. The cane measures approximately 35 - 1/2" and features a nice scalloped and flowered decoration with a brass ferrule. CONDITION: The wood exhibits a dark patina with handling wear. Cane locks in scabbard properly. Blade exhibits a pleasing patina with scattered blemishes. Areas of finish loss to the panels but the decorations remain crisp. Flowered decoration is not secured and slides. (B) Circa 20th century sword cane with unmarked blade that measures approximately 23 - 1/2" and features a single edge and single fuller with long ricasso. The cane measures approximately 36" when sheathed. Very nice silvered handle with ornate scrolled decorations. Brass ferrule and heel. CONDITION: The blade remains bright and locks into the scabbard properly. Wood exhibits a nice finish with scattered areas of spotting and handling wear. Nice patina to handle. Brass ferrule is cracked.
