Series I Type 14 Nambu manufactured at the Toriimatsu small arms factory of the Nagoya arsenal in August of 1942. The right side of the frame bears the Nagoya arsenal insignia followed by a Series I emblem and the serial number, above the date code "17.8". Left side of frame bears typical Kanji stampings stipulating the model designation. Metal components are blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece serrated wood grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the magazine which is mismatched. Pistol is accompanied by a rubberized canvas clamshell holster containing 1 mismatched spare magazine, 1 cleaning rod, as well as 1 mismatched spare firing pin. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original arsenal applied blue finish, exhibits mild surface oxidation overall, with areas of pitting present on the grip straps. Excellent bore, exhibiting some light surface oxidation on the rifling, but otherwise retaining well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips show some scattered nicks and dings from storage and handling but are otherwise fine. Holster exhibits a crude repair to the flap closure strap but is otherwise fine.
