Lot consists of: (A) Colt M1917 New Service manufactured at the end of World War I for government use, bearing "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" mark under the barrel, "JMG" inspector monogram on frame, and "U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1917" designation on the butt. Features include a 5 - 1/2" tapered round barrel, blade front sight, frame notch rear, 6-shot fluted cylinder chambered for .45 ACP on half-moon clips, lanyard loop, and 2-piece smooth walnut grips. Revolver is accompanied by a 1944 dated US Milwaukee Saddlery Co. holster with strap removed, in addition to a 1918 dated ammunition pouch with half-moon clips. CONDITION: Good. Significant portions of the factory blued finish are retained largely in protected areas with balance drifting to brown-gray patina. Grips are good. Strong, frosted bore. Crisp mechanics. (B) Nickel finished Hopkins & Allen No. 6 double action revolver with 6" octagon barrel, half-moon front sight, 6 shot fluted cylinder, and 2-piece smooth walnut target grips. CONDITION: Good. Vast majority of the nickel finish is retained with some pinprick oxidation and spots of loss. Grips have some light impressions. Good lightly frosted bore. Good mechanics.
