Lot consists of (A) M91 Cavalry Carbine manufactured by Brescia in 1941. Barrel shank bears the date of manufacture, manufacturer, serial number, as well as a "(Crown) / RE" Army acceptance proof. Left side of stock bears a boxed "S.F." proof, a Brescia cartouche, "(Crown) / 4UT/ 41" proof, and the serial number present on the butt. Metal components are blued; the stock is comprised of solid wood. Undermounted bayonet is present. Receiver and stock are matching. Rifle is accompanied by a brown leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting some mild spots of wear and some marks from handling and storage. Mirror bore, with strong rifling throughout. Stock is excellent. (B) M91 Cavalry Carbine manufactured by Brescia in 1936. Facetted barrel shank bears the year of manufacture, manufacturer information, a "(Crown) / RE" Army acceptance proof, and the serial number. Metal components are blued; the stock is comprised of solid wood. Stock has been sanded and revarnished, with the cartouche illegible. Undermounted bayonet is present. Receiver and stock are matching. CONDITION: Metal components exhibit wear and thinning overall, showing through to brown patina. Excellent bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Stock is very good as sanded, with a small repair on the cutout for the bayonet provision. (C) M91 Cavalry Carbine manufactured by Terni in 1937. Barrel shank bears the date of manufacture, manufacturer, a "(Crown) / RE" Army acceptance stamp, and the serial number. Metal components are blued; the stock and handguard are comprised of solid wood. Stock has been sanded and revarnished. Cartouche is not legible. Undermounted bayonet is present. Rifle is mounted with a German K98 pattern leather sling. CONDITION: Metal components exhibit wear overall showing through to gray patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting strong rifling throughout.
