Lot consists of two sporterized Japanese Type 99 military rifles made at Tokyo Juki Kogyo and Kokura Arsenals in Japan. (A) Rifle has a 26" blued barrel with protected notch front sight and rear flip up aircraft sight missing levelers. Machine finish action with intact 'mum and mismatched bolt: bolt serial number added to original serial number to keep bolt with sporterized gun. Wooden pieced stock cut to sporter length with steel hardware and no monopod provision. (B) Rifle mirrors gun (A) with exception that it was made at Kokura Arsenal with action marked accordingly. Barrel has added banded sporter style ramp front sight with original rear sight removed and holes exposed. Action has added Lyman 48 peep sight. Bolt matches rifle and has been bent for scope and sight mounting. 2-piece wooden finger groove stock cut to sporter length with sling attachments removed. CONDITION: Both rifles have intact 'mums. Both stocks have been sporterized and cleaned with light coat of oil applied. Both have good bores and good mechanics.
