German World War I era cavalry sword with a "WKC" marked nickel plated steel blade, with light scattered marks throughout, and several tiny nicks. 1/4" of blade tip is approximately 10 degrees off center. Triple etched blade has panels on each side depicting mounted cavalry, a Prussian Garde star, various patterns, the unit marking of "Garde Train Bataillon", and laurel leaves on the spine. Triple strand wire wrapped shark skin grip has light to moderate wear. Nickel plated steel fittings retain 80-85% of their finish, with patina and scattered marks. Steel scabbard retains 75-80% of its original black painted finish with freckling, scattered marks, and is stamped "205" near the throat. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ
