German World War I era cavalry sword with an unmarked nickel plated steel blade, with a moderate amount of scattered marks, and a number of tiny nicks. 1/4" of the tip is approximately 10 degrees off center. Triple etched blade has panels on each side of the blade depicted mounted cavalry wearing helmets and various patterns, the unit marking of "Kavallerie - Regiment 3", as well as laurel leaves on the spine. Triple strand wire wrapped black trylon grip has light to moderate wear with several strands being loose. Nickel plated brass fittings have finish bubbling throughout. Steel scabbard retains 70-75% of its original black painted finish with freckling, scattered marks, and a couple of shallow dents. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
