German World War II inert Flak 18 HE 8.8 CM round, shell casing, and storage case. HE round retains 75-80% of its original olive green paint, and is dated "42" and marked with a "WaA378", "emf", "dlc", and "FES". HE fuse has faint traces of its yellow paint, and is marked "rbp", "45", "AZ", "23/28", and with the 3-position screw still present. Steel shell casing retains 70-75% of its original lacquered olive green paint with light spots of freckling throughout. There 7 lines of faint black stenciling on the casing which are not completely legible. The head stamp is marked "aty", "41", "8,8cm Flak18" and the inert primer is marked "dom", "1943", with some additional markings. A very rare case for the round is included and retains 20-255 of its orignal ordnance tan paint with heavy freckling. Near the top of the case is marked "8,8cm FLAK 18" in faint white paint with another illegible line. The case top is secured via a hook and clip, which remains functional. The inside is painted in the typical German primer dark red paint. A very rare desirable set. CONDITION: Overall fair to very good. WEZ
