Single Action revolver manufactured circa 1874-1878 by Smith & Wesson and chambered in .44 Russian. Featuring a blued finish, 6 - 1/2" barrel with a forged front sight, 6 shot fluted cylinder, thumb screw on top strap, typical large knuckle, lanyard loop, and smooth wooden stocks. Top strap stamped with proper manufacturer patent dates ending with "RUSSIAN MODEL". Serial number "49794" stamped on bottom of grip. Inside of right stock has matching serial number. CONDITION: Good overall with finish having been reapplied. Signs of oxidation along barrel. Trigger pins have been replaced with scratches on either side of frame around pins. Semi-dark bore with some rifling visible. Left stock shows discoloration. Good mechanics. GFP.
