Lot contains 2 veteran bring back items: (A) German World War II Luftwaffe 1st Model dagger with a "E. & F. HORSTER, SOLINGEN" marked blade with light scattered marks, moderate staining, and perhaps 1/2" of the blade tip is broken off. Triple strand wire wrapped blue leather grip has light to moderate wear, and aluminum fittings have light wear and patina. Remnants of a Heer third class marksmanship lanyard is attached to the grip. Blue leather wrapped scabbard has light to moderate wear and aluminum fittings have light wear and scattered marks. Aluminum hanger is attached with patina. CONDITION: Overall very good plus. (B) Luftwaffe M40 single decal helmet marked "ET64" for the maker of "Eisenhuttenwerke Thale", in a shell size of 64, with a lot number of "4914". Shell retains 60-65% of its original rough blue-gray paint, with light paint freckles, scrapes, and heavy freckling. Interior retains approximately less 30% of its rough blue-gray finish with heavy freckling. Luftwaffe decal is in approximately 80% condition, is heavily stained, and with the required era coat of lacquer. Original zinc liner band is present with heavy freckling. No liner is present as it must have rotted away. Two 1" chinstrap remnants are presents. CONDITION: Overall fair. WEZ
