The head is decorated on both sides with crude engravings of scrollwork and a panoply of arms. The collar is pierced, perhaps to accommodate a knot or decoration. Attached to the haft by a pair of small straps that are each secured by a screw. The head measures approximately 11" with an overall length of 93 - 1/2". The haft is decorated for about half its length with various tacks, each are secured by a central nail. CONDITION: The head exhibits a heavy chocolate patina. haft exhibits scattered scrapes, dents, and a few small cracks. Head wobbles slightly. Haft remains sturdy. Several tacks are missing. A very displayable polearm.
