Highly unusual single shot target pistol manufactured by Alk of Germany. The top of the slide is stamped "Alk" above indiscernible manufacturer markings. Right side of slide and barrel bears horizontal "(Crown) / B" and "(Crown) / U" commercial proofs. Metal components are blued, while the checkered pistol grip stock is comprised of solid walnut. Additional features include a 12" barrel, target adjustable rear sight, as well as a ramp front sight. Receiver appears to have been refinished at one point in time. While appearing to be a semi-automatic pistol in both form and function, this is actually a single shot pistol, which is operated by retracting the slide, inserting a round of ammunition, and then pressing the checkered slide release button. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear primarily on the barrel which shows through to gray and brown patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Stock exhibits some scattered dings and nicks, with some smoothing to the checkering and a few nicks to the diamonds.
