Dural frame PPK semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Walther for commercial sales. The left side of the receiver bears the Walther banner logo followed by usual stampings stipulating the manufacturer information, as well as the model and caliber designations. Right side of slide, chamber, and barrel exhibit horizontal "(Crown) / N" nitro proofs. Right side of frame bears the serial number "802942", which is slightly higher than lowest reported serial number in "WALTHER MODELS PP and PPK: 1929-1945" by James L. Rankin. Slide exhibits a lustrous high polish blue finish, with the frame featuring a smooth black anodized finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered brown plastic Walther banner logo grip. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their blued and black anodized finish, exhibiting edge wear overall, as well as some spots of wear from handling and storage. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grip exhibits warping, with a loss at the top of the left side, as well as several cracks around the screw holes. A rare example of a early dural frame Walther PPK. MLW
