Standard configuration P.08 manufactured by DWM for the Imperial German military during World War I. Receiver is stamped "1917" over the chamber area, with the right side exhibiting DWM arsenal proofs followed by an Imperial German reichsadler. Toggle bears the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Metal components have been refinished, exhibiting a dark blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips, which have been revarnished. All numbers are matching with the exception of the sideplate and magazine, which are mismatched, as well as the firing pin which is unnumbered. Pistol is accompanied by a custom period brown leather holster containing 1 spare magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear showing through to silver, with some areas of pitting present beneath the finish. Straw on trigger shows mild wear, with some mild age related discoloration. Bore exhibits mild pitting and good rifling throughout. Grips retain most of their reapplied varnish, exhibiting smoothing and some minor impressions overall. Leather holster is malleable, exhibiting wear overall and a few small holes.
