Model 1906 American Eagle Luger manufactured by DWM for commercial sales within the United States. Receiver bears the American coat of arms, while the toggle bears the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Major metal components are rust blued, while some smaller components are strawed. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. Front sight has been modified with a brass replacement blade and rear sight has been modified from a "V" notch to a ghost ring. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, grip safety bar, barrel, receiver, breechblock, and the forward and rear toggles links. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning showing through to gray patina, with areas of surface oxidation present overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting light pitting and retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and scattered impressions but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable.
