Model PP manufactured by Walther towards the end of World War II. The left side of the slide bears no manufacturer information, with only an "(Eagle) / WaA359" present on the slide and left side of the frame. Right side of slide and frame are serialized "291807p". "(Eagle) / N" commercial nitro proof is present on the right side of the slide, chamber, and barrel (at the muzzle). The slide is unusual for this variation, in that the serial number is not followed nor above a stamped Walther "ac" manufacturer code. Metal components exhibit traces of their original blue finish, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece Walther banner checkered black plastic grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain traces of their original arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall, and with the balance consisting of a mottled brown and gray patina. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting a few small concentrated areas of mild surface oxidation towards the breach, and retaining strong and well defined lands and grooves throughout. Grips show mild smoothing, with some scattered handling marks and minor nicks to the diamonds.
