U.S. Model of 1917 bolt action rifle manufactured by Remington for the United States military. Receiver is stamped "U.S./ MODEL OF 1917/ REMINGTON" above the serial number over the chamber, with a flaming ordnance bomb stamped on the left receiver wall, as well as with an "(Eagle Head) / F29" on the top of the receiver. Barrel is stamped "R / (FLAMING ORDNANCE BOMB) / 10-18" to the rear of the front sight. Metal components exhibit a parkerized finish, while the stock and upper handguard are comprised of solid wood. Rifle is mounted with a green canvas web sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their arsenal applied parkerized finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patina overall. Bore is dark and exhibits strong rifling throughout. Stock exhibits scattered marks, dings, and minor impressions from storage and handling, but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable.
