Steel barrel, octagonal at breech and muzzle, engraved with Scottish thistles, shield with Cross of St. Andrew, once heightened with gilding. Bolted lock engraved with scrolls signed Campbell in script. Roller bearing frizzen, double neck cock engraved en suite with lock. Top jaw is a replacement. Steel stock etched throughout its length with trophy of arms and Cross of St. Andrew on spine. Ramshorn butt, plain steel pricker en suite with plain steel trigger. Plain steel belt hook. Ramrod has been replaced. CONDITION: Barrel slightly worn with little gilding remaining in engraving. Lock is crisp with little or no patination. Stock is heavily worn and etching is difficult to discern in places. Trophy of arms on spine readily discernible. Action is stiff but functions properly. An attractive Scottish all steel ramshorn butt dress pistol. Formerly part of the Allan Klein Collection.
