Barrel in 3 stages with octagonal breech, rounded second and third stages separated by a wedding ring, and with a raised cannon muzzle. Barrel screws off for loading. Flat lock with beveled edges, faceted pan, and shell motif at rear. Swan neck cock with light floral engraving. Sideplate with double locking bolts, shell motif, and florals. Trigger guard with floral and floral engraving en suite, with a torch finial. Butt cap engraved en suite. Stock with inlaid silver wire in the form of florals at wrist and carving around trigger guard finial. CONDITION: Pistol has been polished to bright metal, softening engraving throughout and leaving various areas of polishing marks and striations. Some normal age related discoloration, engraving at breech heavily softened. Stock is very good with some handling marks and a few minor spots of chipping at tang. Well-executed repair under lock commensurate with a mainspring kick. Mechanically fine, rifling is very good. A delightful little pistol. Formerly part of the Allan Klein collection.
