Manufactured in 1861 with 6" octagon barrel in .31 caliber with screw-in cone front sight, Hartford, Connecticut barrel address, and hammer notch rear sight. 5-shot cylinder. Matching full or partial serial numbers observed on rammer, barrel, cylinder arbor, cylinder, frame, trigger guard, and butt. Wedge is numbered 81399. 1 piece walnut grips. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the finish turned a gray patina with light freckling. Cylinder has been cleaned with cylinder scene sharp, easily legible, and complete. Trigger guard and backstrap show attractive amounts of original silver plating with slight majority turned a mellow brass patina. Grips are very good to excellent with minor handling marks and wear at edges with no major cracks. Mechanically fine. Bore is overall bright with sharp rifling and light freckling. Formerly part of the Allan Klein Collection.
