Imperial German Navy (Kaiserliche Marine) M1901 Officers naval dirk with a "C.E." (Carl Eickhorn) with "2 squirrels" marked Damascus steel blade exhibiting its very distinct wavy patterned steel with light scattered marks and very light freckling. The name "Timm" is etched on the ricasso. Bone grip with stranded wire has staining and hairline crazing. Steel cross guard and crown with cut out arches pommel retain 70-75% of their gilded finish with patina. Steel scabbard retains approximately 80% of its gilded finish, and hanger clips are attached.
