Standard configuration P.08 Luger manufactured during World War I under contract for the Imperial German military. Receiver is stamped "1916" over the chamber, with DWM arsenal proofs followed by an Imperial German reichsadler present on the right side. Toggle bears the intertwined "DWM" monogram logo. Front grip strap is unit marked "114.R.8.10" indicating issue to the 114th Infantry Regiment, Company 8, Rack Number 10". Major metal components are blued, while some smaller components strawed. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the magazine, which is mismatched. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their period arsenal applied blue finish, exhibiting mild areas of light wear and thinning showing through to gray and brown patina, some spots of cleaned pitting, as some light surface oxidation overall. Strawed components exhibit wear overall, with worn areas exhibiting age related discoloration. Bore is bright, exhibiting mild pitting and good rifling throughout. Grips show light smoothing and some minor impressions and nicks to the diamonds but are otherwise fine. MLW
