Spencer Model 1860 Repeating Carbine made by the Spencer Repeating Rifle Company Boston, Massachusetts between 1860 and 1865. Blued 22" round tapered barrel with 6-groove rifling, pinned blade front sight, and rear graduated flip sight. Case hardened receiver with Spencer address, plain trigger, and 7 shot tubular magazine in the butt. Plain walnut stocks with case hardened hardware. Serial number 16115 is in Civil War production period. CONDITION: 90% fading barrel blue with light edge wear. Case colors have turned a brown patina. Wood shows traces of original finish with usage marks and dings. Good bore with crisp mechanics.
