Springfield Type II Model 1863 made in 1864. 40" round .58 caliber rifled barrel with 3 spring held bands in the stock, pinned blade front sight, and single leaf rear sight finished bright. Case hardened percussion lock with 1864 date and "U.S. Springfield / (Eagle)" marking. Military walnut stock with "EA" and "HSH" inspector markings and iron hardware. Comes with tulip head steel ramrod and U.S. marked socket bayonet. CONDITION: Overall good with missing hammer screw. Gun has an out of the attic appearance with storage grime and usage dings and marks. Pitted bore with crisp mechanics. A super looking Civil War Musket.
