Manufactured with a 36" half octagon to round barrel with dovetailed brass bead front sight and v notch rear sight. Bore has been bored out to about .65 caliber smoothbore. Rib underneath barrel to support ramrod as well as 2 iron ramrod ferrules. 1 piece walnut stock with brass mountings including forearm band, ramrod ferrule, lock plate, trigger guard, and buttplate. Cheekpiece on left side of stock with patchbox on right (patchbox is empty). CONDITION: Fair, with iron components turned a heavy brown patina. Proofmarks on left barrel flat above woodline are visible. Lock has been converted to percussion. Brass components were cleaned long ago and have mostly regained a mellow patina. Stock is fair, there are small cracks throughout forearm area, large chips removed from both in front of and behind lock area, and evidence of heavy use. Hammer is frozen in place, and trigger functions. Bore is dark.
